Sump Compatibility Records Before Buying JY-344 Metalworking Fluid Defoamer

JY-344 Metalworking Fluid Defoamer is positioned by Juyou for foam control in metal cutting fluid systems. A purchasing decision should be based on the buyer’s actual sump chemistry, dilution practice and circulation conditions, not only on a short beaker test or a general defoamer description.

The current product source describes JY-344 as a silicone oil system with a designed emulsification system. It lists appearance as milky white liquid, viscosity at 25 C as 1000-4000 mPa s, and active content as 100 percent. These supplier fields are useful for incoming inspection, but the buyer still needs compatibility records from the metalworking fluid that will actually be used.

Record the sump and dilution conditions first

Metalworking fluid foam can be affected by concentrate chemistry, water quality, tramp oil, pump speed, filtration and microbial condition. Before approving JY-344, record the concentrate name, dilution ratio, water hardness if available, pH, operating temperature, circulation rate and whether the fluid is fresh, aged or contaminated. A clean laboratory sample and an aged production sump may respond differently.

If the buyer’s process uses high shear, repeated recirculation or fine filtration, include those conditions in the test. The product page describes dilution stability and shear stability as supplier attributes; the approval record should show how those attributes were checked in the buyer’s own system.

Separate foam knockdown from downstream acceptance

  • Incoming lot: appearance, viscosity range, active-content reference, TDS and sample lot number.
  • Fluid record: concentrate, dilution ratio, water quality, pH, sump age and contamination notes.
  • Process record: pump cycle, shear exposure, filtration, machining operation and observation timing.
  • Acceptance record: foam height, recurrence, surface residue, tool cleanliness and downstream part requirements.

Do not approve the material only because foam collapses quickly. Confirm whether the treated fluid remains compatible with cleaning, coating, inspection and waste-handling requirements. If residue sensitivity is high, ask Juyou for a small sample and run it against the buyer’s own fluid and process limits.

Ask Juyou for a controlled JY-344 trial

Buyers should send the fluid type, dilution ratio, sump volume, foam problem description, operating temperature, filtration details, package size and document requirements. Source product page: JY-344 Metalworking Fluid Defoamer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should be checked before testing JY-344?

Record the metalworking fluid type, dilution ratio, pH, water quality, sump age, pump conditions and current foam pattern before adding a sample.

Is a beaker test enough for approval?

No. A beaker test can screen knockdown behavior, but production approval should include circulation, shear, filtration and residue observations.

Which supplier fields belong in incoming inspection?

Use the product code, appearance, viscosity range, active-content reference, TDS and sample lot number as incoming inspection fields.

What should the RFQ include?

Include fluid type, dilution ratio, sump volume, operating conditions, foam recurrence details, package size, destination and requested documents.
